Hillary Clinton says Trump would destroy democracy and compares him to Adolf Hitler.

Date:

Hillary Clinton has issued a stark warning about the perils of a second Trump administration by drawing comparisons between Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler.

Clinton declared that having Trump return to the White House “would be the collapse of the nation as we recognize it, and I don’t say that lightly” during a Wednesday interview on ABC’s daytime chat show The View.

“One and done” was a term I used to employ as secretary of state, according to former first lady, senator, and secretary of state. What I intended to convey was that after someone was duly elected, they would attempt to eliminate free speech, dissent, and elections altogether.

Clinton continued, saying, “Hitler was duly elected.” Suddenly, someone with those kinds of tendencies—dictatorial, authoritarian tendencies—would say, “Okay, we’re going to shut this down and put these people in jail.” Additionally, they rarely telegraphed that. Trump is outlining his plans for us to follow.

Clinton’s remarks were made a few days following a Washington Post article revealed that, should he win back the presidency, Trump has been talking about using the department of justice to look into political opponents and erstwhile allies who have criticized him. On the first day in office, he plans to invoke the Insurrection Act, which would enable him to employ US military force domestically to put an end to rallies and opposition.

According to the New York Times, Trump’s team is also getting ready to appoint more radical right-wing attorneys to positions in a future administration, who are more likely to obstruct attempts to stand in his way as he stretches the boundaries of presidential authority.

In a number of crucial battleground states, Trump leads Joe Biden according to a New York City Times/Siena survey issued on Sunday. Four separate criminal proceedings against Trump are scheduled for trial in the upcoming year. It is generally accepted that Trump’s greatest chance of avoiding culpability is to win the president. Also, the survey reveals that a large number of respondents would return to Biden in the event that Trump is found guilty.

Trump is letting us know what he plans to do, according to Clinton on The View. “Believe what he says.”
