The first full-length album from the ten-time Grammy nominee since 2018’s “Queen Nicki Minaj’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Pink Friday 2,” is now available.
“Pink Friday 2,” which drops on Friday, the 10-time Grammy nominee’s 41st birthday, is Minaj’s first full-length album since “Queen” in 2018.
The 22-track album is jam-packed with features, including appearances by Future, J. Cole, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Lil Uzi Vert.
In a recent livestream, Minaj declared, “This entire album will be the biggest gift I have ever given humanity thus far.” “I’ve never been more passionate about a project I’m working on in my life.”
Her second album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,” was released two years after the first “Pink Friday” was released in 2010.
It has been a long road to “Pink Friday 2.” When the rapper tweeted the simple three-character message “PF2” in the summer of 2020, fans speculated that it was soon to come. But Minaj didn’t reveal the album’s title until this past June. The release date, which was first scheduled for October 20, was also postponed twice.
Before “Pink Friday 2” was released in December, Minaj’s devoted followers, known as Barbz, made headlines by building “Gag City,” a pink artificial intelligence metropolis modeled after the album cover.
When Minaj hosted the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September, she teased a fiery new trap cut from “Pink Friday 2” and performed her most recent single, the dreamy “Last Time I Saw You.”
“I’m not like you at all,” she yelled. “I’m on a whole other level.”
