International flight operations of Indian airlines such as Air India, IndiGo, and others have taken a direct hit after Pakistan decided to close its airspace to Indian carriers amid rising tensions between the two countries, following the Pahalgam terror attack.

Flights bound for North America, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East from north Indian cities will now take longer alternate routes over the Arabian Sea, resulting in extended flight durations of up to two and a half hours.
