GMR Aero Academy (GMR AA) has resumed its Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) training programme at its Hyderabad campus.
The internationally-recognised ARFF programme, which has trained over 350 personnel in Hyderabad between 2013 and 2018, will resume with the ninth batch from May 14. The 24-week comprehensive programme features ICAO-compliant curriculum, hands-on training with modern firefighting equipment, and instruction from industry-leading faculty.
Graduates have access to GMR AA’s extensive network spanning across Indian airports and partnerships with leading airlines like IndiGo and Air India Express.
“Airport firefighters are the guardians of aviation safety, whose split-second decisions and actions save countless lives, like our armed forces who serve the nation,’‘ Ashok Gopinath, President GMR Aero Academy stated in a release on Monday.
There is a growing demand for such highly-skilled professionals, and the need far outweighs the current supply — making their role critical in sustaining the aviation ecosystem,’‘ he added.
