Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has called for bids to construct new state-of-the-art secretariat in Amaravati with five towers with an estimated cost of ₹4,668 crore.
As per the notification the construction of five towers for an integrated state secretariat which will house all Heads of department offices with supporting infrastructure.
As per the tender notification, the construction should be as per the standards of Indian Green Business Centre (IGBC) Green New Buildings Platinum-level certification and will include a three-year Defect Liability Period. It will be executed under a Design-Build item rate (lump sum) contract, the notification said.
The State Cabinet, in its meeting held on Tuesday approved the release of tenders for the secretariat construction. The CRDA had already called for tenders for capital works worth about ₹48,000 crore while the total estimated cost of new capital works is ₹64,000 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to formally launch the construction works on May 2.
